A few weeks ago, I got to take the standard tour of Sony Studios (which is actually the Columbia lot and former MGM lot). It was somewhat disappointing, as the "backlot" consists mainly of the "Main Street" area, which is actually pretty small. The highlight of this area was no doubt the "Ecto 1," the actual car from "Ghostbusters," which we got to take pics of. There was also a car from "Charlie's Angels" on display. We got to check out quite a few of the soundstages and peek at the sets for "Spiderman 3" under construction (not much to see). "Click," the new Adam Sandler movie, was also being filmed there, so we got to walk around some of those sets and talk to the extras. We also got to see the sets for "Jeopardy" and "King of Queens." However, it seemed like most of the tour was rushed and too secretive, since we snuck around most of the productions actually underway, so there was no chance of seeing anything.
